Description

Professional Solvent-Based Sealer for Resin Projects

Prepare your surfaces the right way with Resinzwood Multi-Sealer, a premium solvent-based penetrating sealer designed to seal wood, concrete, MDF, plywood, plaster, stone and other porous materials before applying epoxy resin top coats.

By sealing the surface first, Multi-Sealer helps prevent air bubbles caused by trapped air escaping from porous materials. It allows for deep resin absorption, resulting in a solid base that fills air pockets that would otherwise release air through your Top Coat/Flood Coat.

Ideal for furniture makers and crafters who require a perfectly sealed piece of timber or floor, whether wood, concrete or other porous material. Resin artists, river table makers, flooring installers, and DIY enthusiasts throughout New Zealand use Resinzwood Multi-Sealer.

  4. Apply a second coat if the surface remains highly porous.
  5. Once fully cured, apply your epoxy resin topcoats.

Why Use Resinzwood Multi-Sealer Before an Epoxy Topcoat?

Porous materials contain thousands of tiny air pockets. When epoxy is poured directly onto these surfaces, trapped air escapes into the resin, creating bubbles and imperfections.

Resinzwood Multi-Sealer locks these air pockets closed while also reducing resin absorption, helping you achieve:

  • Clearer resin finishes
  • Fewer bubbles
  • Better resin coverage
  • Stronger adhesion
  • Professional-quality results

Ideal For Use With

  • Deep pour epoxy resin
  • Tabletop epoxy
  • Casting resin
  • Floor coating epoxy
  • Doming resin

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it on fresh timber?
Yes. Ensure the timber is dry and free from contaminants before sealing.

Will it stop all bubbles?
It greatly reduces bubbles caused by porous materials but does not fully seal the timber with a single coat, and you may be required to apply a few coats.

Can it be used on concrete floors?
Yes. It is ideal for sealing concrete before applying epoxy floor coatings.

Is it suitable for resin river tables?
Absolutely. It helps seal live edge timber and prevents air release into deep-pour epoxy.
