Knot Hole resin is a two-part encapsulating resin with a two-to-one ratio by weight, used to fill a hole or crack or for small castings. It has other uses, such as jewellery making, creative medium, or even as a first primer coat, like our Resinzwood Multi-Sealer. Knothole resin can be used as instructed for mixing, or it can be slightly modified for deeper penetration. See Tips below.
Being almost water clear when cured, it is the perfect product to use when
clarity is essential, and being fully cured in 24-48 hours, it also reduces the
downtime before grinding and sanding to achieve the desired shape. For timber application, you can then overcoat with either “Liquid Glass”, or Osmo Oil for the desired
finish.
Knot Hole Resin is Now Improved with High UV Additives. Of June 2024 this product has had yet another boost of extra UV additives to perform well in NZ conditions. Knot Hole is a 3kg kit 2 to 1 Ratio by Weight. This epoxy resin is typically used for filling Knot holes and voids in timbers. Resinzwood Knot Hole resin has many other uses that include being used to seal coat your timber to a finishing Top Coat. It has also been a hit with resin artists crafting coasters, dirty pour artwork pieces, and anything using colours in the resin. Knot Hole resin can be poured up to 10mm at a time for jewellery and other applications. Resin Wood Tables NZ's turners use this product for castings as well as other applications.
