About Ocean-Cast 100 Deep Pour Epoxy
Ocean Cast 100 is the latest generation of deep pour resin with the extra high levels of UV
This is the mighty Sea La Vie TableInhibitors are possible without having adverse reactions on the overall product, which gives us this very high-performing product that artists and seasoned professionals across Aotearoa New Zealand love. You will find that our 2:1 Deep Pour Resin is a step above the other products in the New Zealand marketplace, with 100% clarity. Ocean Cast 100 can be poured to a depth of 100mm in your river table project; however, I do advise that beginners to the art of resin crafting settle for a layer 50mm to 60mm deep until they understand the boundaries of our product at room temperature. Optimum temp ranges from 18 °C to 27 °C, but can be cured in rooms up to 35 °C; however, curing faster is not always the best practice.
Ocean Cast 100 for Casting
When you are casting in moulds, either with or without a resin pressure pot, you can pour larger
volumes. For example, we recently poured a casting for a gentleman who was going to turn it on his lathe to a depth of 250mm and a diameter of 600mm, with a chunk of wood in the centre. When you encapsulate wood in large volumes of resin, it will absorb a fair amount of heat from the exothermic reaction during the natural curing process.

What can I do if my resin starts to get too Hot?
If you are doing a deep pour in a table, the best thing to do is have fans blowing cool air over your project and try to get your working room as cool as possible. For large volumes of castings, I have another water-tight outer box, or you could use a large plastic container to put your casting in, so it is surrounded by water and ice.
